DBS Treasures is one of the most popular wealth management and banking programmes available today. Offering a range of banking and investment services, the programme treats its members with A VIP service, allowing them to use DBS Treasures Centres, enjoy exclusive travel and financial perks, and much more.
What is DBS Treasures Account?
A DBS Treasures Account gives you access to three DBS cards: the DBS Treasures Visa Debit Card, the DBS Insignia Visa Infinite Card, and the DBS Treasures Black Elite Card. These cards are only available for members of DBS Treasures, and come with a number of enjoyable privileges.

When you own a DBS Treasures Account, you are entitled to 5% cashback when you use your card’s contactless feature when making a purchase. You do need to spend $400 or more a month for this benefit to be applicable, though, and you can’t withdraw more than $400 a month, either.
DBS Treasures members can also enjoy 3.1 miles per $1 spent at DBS’ partner luxury stores, 1.4 miles for local spend, and 2.4 miles for overseas spend. Members can also get access to the DBS Treasures Lounge at Changi Airport Terminal 3. If you travel frequently for work or leisure, the DBS Treasures travel perks should appeal to you.
How do you qualify for DBS Treasures?
Figure 2 Credit: DBS Treasures https://www.dbs.com.sg/treasures/default.page
To join DBS Treasures Singapore, you will need minimum AUM (assets under management) of S$350,000, which you will need to deposit or invest with DBS. You will also need to spend a minimum of $20,000 annually on your applicable DBS card to ensure that your membership status is successfully renewed for the next year.
How Much Does it Cost to Open a DBS Treasures Account?
Technically, opening a DBS Treasures account is free of charge – but you will need to deposit or invest that $350,000 sum with DBS. If you’re already a DBS member and you have that amount already, or you’re moving to DBS from another bank and you’re covered, then this won’t feel like a cost as such. If you save specifically for a DBS Treasures status, this is probably going to feel like a cost to you.
What is DBS Treasures Private Client?
DBS Treasures Private Clients need at least $1.5 million in investable assets to be eligible for additional perks.
Figure 3 Credit: DBS Treasures https://www.dbs.com.sg/treasures-private-client/lifestyle-privileges?pid=sg-tpc-pweb-why-us-others-why-us-textlink-lifestyle-privileges
As a private client, you have access to DBS’ team of portfolio managers, product specialists and wealth managers, who can offer advice and help you to make the right financial decisions for yourself or your business. You can also meet with your own personal accredited investor, who can support you with any investments you may wish to make.
There are other perks to being a Private Client, including receiving curated insights from DBS’ Chief Investment Office and partaking in optional webinars led by industry experts and specialists. Private Clients’ digital capabilities are slightly better, too – clients can use DBI iWealth to manage their investments and everyday banking on-the-go, plus gain access to financial insights at any given time.
Private Clients get the same travel privileges as standard DBS members, such as late check-out at partner hotels including Marriott International and The Dorchester Collection. Clients also get their own special support and advice for property and relocation, and overseas education.

DBS Treasures Cards
You will need to use one of three credit or debit cards as a DBS Treasures member:
DBS Insignia Visa Infinite Card
The DBS Insignia Visa Infinite Card is a credit card that offers up to up to S$1 million credit to your name. With this card, you can earn 2 miles per S$1 spent overseas and 1.6 miles per S$1 spent locally, and you currently receive 100,000 welcome air miles for signing up.
DBS Treasures Black Elite Card
When applying to the DBS Treasures Black Elite Card, you can enjoy up to 48,000 miles, plus the option to earn 50% more miles on your card spend in the first 3 months from the card’s approval date. You’ll receive up to 3.2 miles per $1 spent and a 24/7 concierge service wherever you are.
DBS Treasures Visa Debit Card
The DBS Treasures Visa Debit Card currently offers up to 3% cashback when you spend on online food delivery, local transport, local Visa Contactless and in foreign currency when you spend a minimum of $500. You can also earn 0.3% cashback for every Visa transaction with no minimum spend required, and benefit from no foreign exchange fee.
DBS Treasures Lounge

DBS Treasures members are offered exclusive access to the two DBS Asia Treasures Lounges – one at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 3, and one at Terminal 2. The DBS Lounge at Terminal 2 recently reopened in 2019 after undergoing renovation, while the Lounge at Terminal 3 was renovated in 2016, but is currently undergoing another renovation, reopening August 2020.
Both Lounges offer a place for members to rest, eat and work before or between flights. You can bring a guest along with you, and that guest doesn’t have to be a DBS Treasures member, which is very useful.
The Lounges offer a menu of “specially-curated Asian cuisine”, and there is a spread of fresh snacks and drinks for you to help yourself to. There’s high-speed Wi-Fi and printing, plus “the best foreign exchange rates at Singapore Changi Airport”. The majority of food and alcohol is served to your table, though you can help yourself to the coffee machines.
Terminal 2’s Lounge operates from 6.00am to 12.00 mid-night daily, while Terminal 3’s Lounge operates from 7.00am to 1.00am daily.

DBS Treasures Member Benefits
Of course, one of the biggest reasons why Singaporeans choose to sign up to DBS Treasures is for the benefits the programme offers. The DBS Lifestyle Privileges Catalogue is available for members with investable assets of $350,000 or more, and gives members access to the DBS Wealth Concierge, as well as a variety of premium services related to travel and banking.
The obvious benefits of being a DBS Treasures member include access to the DBS Treasures Lounge and exclusive use of the DBS Treasures Branches, but there are other perks that may be useful to you, especially if you enjoy travel.

Featured hotels include a number of hotels by Marriott International Luxury Brands, which give you ambassador welcome and benefits including:

To be eligible for these benefits, you will need to make your reservation with the DBS Wealth Concierge, and not as you would normally (online or over the phone).
Other featured hotels include Complimentary The Barracks Hotel Sentosa, Singapore, The Dorchester Collection, Tsingpu Tulou Retreat, and Tsingpu Yangzhou Retreat. These hotels offer similar benefits for DBS Treasures members, though you may want to check out the DBS benefits page if you’re looking for a specific deal.
Aside from hotel benefits, members can receive additional travel perks, including access to limousine services, special lounge access rates and assistance with dining, entertainment, shopping and more during travel.
Moving away from travel entirely, DBS Treasures members get access to exclusive healthcare privileges, as well as fast-track access to a comprehensive range of medical service with DBS’ partner Raffles Medical Group Services. Some support with education and property are also offered to DBS Treasures members who are able to maintain assets under management of at least S$350,000.
